Jessica Astran | Owner, Principal

Urban Suburban Design’s Principal Designer, Jessica Astran, has had a passion for design since she began rearranging the living room furniture at age nine.  After receiving a Fine Arts Degree from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina, Jessica spent 28 years designing model homes for the nationally award-winning firm, Builders Design, Inc.  In 2012, Jessica joined forces with Interior Designer Janelle Jenner to form Urban Suburban Design, LLC, a company focused on commercial and model home design.  With a degree in Interior Design, Art Studio and Art History from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Janelle brings with her 20+ years experience in the commercial and model home design industry.  

Urban Suburban Design provides an interactive and collaborative design experience centered on personal engagement. We focus on innovative design solutions that are inspired by the style and needs of our clients in the commercial design and home building industries. Urban Suburban Design is an Allied Member of the the American Society of Interior Designers (A.S.I.D) and has worked with clients all across the DMV region including (pick the best clients).  Both Jessica and Janelle are the recipient of various prestigious design awards, most notably the (pick an award).
